Day 1-4: Medellín, Colombia

  • Arrive in Medellín and check into your accommodation in the Poblado or Laureles neighborhoods.

  • Spend your days exploring Medellín's transformation from a notorious drug capital to a vibrant cultural hub.

  • Take a tour of Comuna 13 to see the colorful street art and learn about the community's resilience.

  • Visit the Botanical Garden, Parque Arví, and Plaza Botero for outdoor relaxation and cultural experiences.

  • On the second day, take a day trip to the nearby town of Guatapé to climb the iconic El Peñol rock and explore the picturesque village.

Day 5-7: Coffee Triangle

  • Travel to Armenia or Pereira in the heart of Colombia's Coffee Axis. Check into a traditional hacienda, and enjoy a leisurely afternoon wandering through coffee plantations.

  • Learn about coffee cultivation and processing, and, of course, sample some of the world’s finest beans right from the source.

  • Take a day trip to Salento and Cocora Valley. Venture out to the Cocora Valley, known for its tall wax palms, the national tree of Colombia. Enjoy a hike or a horseback ride through this misty, verdant landscape.

  • Later, visit Salento, a colorful town with well-preserved colonial architecture. Climb the steps to the viewpoint at Alto de la Cruz for a panoramic view of the town and surrounding mountains.

Day 8-10: Lima

  • Fly to Lima and check into your accommodation in the Miraflores or Barranco neighborhoods.

  • Spend your days exploring Lima's cultural attractions, including the historic Plaza Mayor, the Larco Museum, and the Huaca Pucllana archaeological site.

  • Visit the colorful markets of Surquillo or Miraflores for fresh produce, artisanal goods, and traditional Peruvian dishes.

  • On the second day, take a culinary tour of Lima to sample ceviche, causa, and other Peruvian delicacies.

  • Enjoy a scenic bike ride along the Malecón boardwalk or relax in one of Lima's many parks and gardens.

Day 11-14: Cusco and Machu Picchu

  • Travel to Cusco and spend some time exploring the city. Take a scenic train ride from Cusco to Aguas Calientes (or hike) to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

  • Spend your days exploring the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, including the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana stone, and the Temple of the Condor.

  • Take a guided tour of the archaeological site to learn about the history and significance of Machu Picchu.

  • Hke the surrounding trails, such as the Inca Trail or the Huayna Picchu trail, for panoramic views of the Andes mountains and the Urubamba River. Say your Farewells to Peru and depart from Cusco.
